September, 2004 Dear All, As promised, at the end of this month (as mentioned in the recent email to all list subscribers), we will be having an hour and a half online chat with Justin, right on his own web site!!! Our friends on the West Coast will be logging in at breakfast time, East Coasters will be having lunch and our U.K. fans will be just starting supper. It will be just Justin and to make it a successful first chat on his site, we ask that everybody stick to a few key topics. We have already received some requests to ask personal questions or questions having to do with recent problems with the justinhayward.com list server. Now on to that topic... The justinhayward.com list experienced some major problems recently. A large number of list members (on two occasions) have experienced receiving multiple copies of list emails and were also receiving some outside emails that had nothing to do with the list. As a result, we acted immediately (on both occasions), and began the process of working closely with the hosting provider. We moved and upgraded the list server, sent out an email with news and apparently still had a problem on our hands! As such, we have temporarlily disabled the list and are working to resolve this issue quickly and completely. We would also like to thank all subscribers who let us know that they were receiving multiple copies of the email and suspicious attachments. This did and is greatly assisting in our efforts to handle this matter. We, of course, also apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused. We do want everyone to know that the justinhayward.com list is only sent to ONCE when news is emailed to subscribers and that we will NEVER ATTACH ANYTHING to an email sent out. It is apparant, not unlike situations that such sites such as PayPal and Ebay experience, that there is one or a few individuals that are taking advantage of the list (which is a closed, restricted list), and are malicioulsy taking advantage of its subscribers. We look forward to the upcoming chat and want to make sure these topics are handled (or are being handled) prior to September 25th. They should not be a topic for Justin's very special chat.
